Advachem is located in Hautrage, in Belgium, 70 km from Brussels, 240 km from Paris. This strategic position of the factory near the highway enables Advachem to reach a 700 km range and even more to export its production. Our company currently produces formaldehyde-based polymers for the wood panel industry. Our main markets are Belgium and Luxembourg, the northern half of France, the western part of Germany and the Netherlands. We are 40 people. The capacity is 220 thousands metric tons of formaldehyde-based resins and 110 thousands metric tons of UFC. Our range of resins – called glues or polymers – includes more than 20 products, for particle board panels, MDF and plywood.

ChemCom Industries produces resins for the green wood processing industry and intermediate products for the chemical industry. Chemisol Italia produces melamine powder resins: Hiperesin MF for the automotive and wood industries, for moulding compounds and the impregnation of paper; as well as, Hiperadd additives, for paper impregnation and board production. Ercros is one of the largest producers of formaldehyde and derivatives in the world. Ercros has a workforce over 1,600 people and the turnover in 2010 was 610 million Euros.


Euroresinas-Chemical SA is a unit of Sonae Arauco Group for the manufacture and marketing of synthetic resins and formaldehyde. Sonae Arauco is a new company resulting from a strategic partnership between Sonae Indústria and Arauco. This 50/50 partnership involves the existing European and South African wood based panels and related operations of Sonae Indústria, namely all its production facilities of wood based panels, chemicals and paper impregnation, but excludes Sonae Indústria’s operations in North America and the laminates and components business, which will continue to be fully owned by Sonae Indústria. With a total of 13 plants located in 4 countries on 2 continents and with more than 2700 employees worldwide, Sonae Arauco is one of the largest wood-based panel producers in the world.


Fantoni group is leader in the production of Mdf and chipboard panels, melamine papers, laminates, office furniture, melamine flooring and sound-absorption panels. A turnover of 320 million euros and more than 1,100 employees in the seven companies of the group are the result of more than one hundred years’ experience in wood processing, where the system companies support Fantoni itself in the constitution of an independent production system that starts from wood as raw material to the finished product.


Polioli was been established in 1980 and incorporated into FAR in 2007, expanding the production commercial section whilst maintaining same activity and products. Polioli produces Trimethylolpropane and Sodium formate, then Neopentylglycol, Pentaerythritol, Formic acid and Sodium Sulphate, Formaldehyde, Trimethylolpropane Diallylether and Maleic Anhydride and in 2006 Polioli began to sell the Biodiesel.
